Work is progressing quickly on the pedestrian walking bridge attached to New Glasgow's George Street Bridge. The project is part of New Glasgow's DowntownRevitalization project - Recreating the Experience- and will help connect the trail systems from the west to the east side of the town. Trail users will be able to walk from the Samson Trail, across the pedestrian bridge and then re-link to the Pioneer Trail system at Stewart Street or to access Downtown New Glasgow by foot. The pedestrian bridge will also provides an alternative route for children walking to the New Glasgow Junior High School from west to east
